Background

​

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, most available schools in Bangladesh are fully closed. Children are stuck in their homes, and their parents are struggling to make a living. At this point in time, staying alive and feeding their families is the main priority, so consequently, education becomes less attainable for them. If they continue to live like this, these children will fall behind and never return to school. After assessing the urgency of the situation, we took initiative to provide a safe learning space for children with such struggles.

What we have done

We officially opened the school in January 1st, 2021. We created an Open School with the initiative "Let's Learn!" 8 children (which has now become 10) were given food, new clothes, new school supplies, as well as an environment with quality teachers to give them the opportunity to learn so they can eventually support themselves and their families.
